Engagement on this project is subject to the following conditions:

• Your ability to pass a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol (D&A) test
• Your ability to gain a Counter-Terrorism Check Clearance (CTC)

The pre-engagement D&A test will test your saliva and breath for the following substances:

• Amphetamines
• Cannabis
• Opiates
• Benzodiazepine
• Cocaine
• Excessive alcohol
• Methamphetamines

Security clearance provides a certain level of assurance for an individual's suitability to have trusted access to sensitive information - alongside their suitability to work on a nuclear site.

This review is carried out by Government officials who are responsible for the oversight and aftercare of individuals granted security clearance. These officials will have full access to your criminal record and will complete thorough checks. It is these checks that will determine your suitability to work on Sizewell B Power Station.

You will be required to provide:

• References for the last 3 year’s employment and educational history
• 3 distinct forms of identification (for example passport, driving licence or utility bill)

It is also important that you are able to provide your own transport, or have access to reliable transport, to and from Sizewell B Power Station on a daily basis – transport is not provided.

If you are in any doubt as to your capacity to comply with the above conditions, please refrain from continuing with your application. Failure to do so, combined with failure to pass the D&A test or gain the CTC clearance, may result in you being charged for the associated costs.

Should you progress to the second stage of this process, there will be a mandatory requirement to complete a DBS certificate online. This is a Government criminal record check which currently costs £18.
